EPSILON is the largest geodata producer and vendor of geodata for Greece and Cyprus. Its database, Digital Greece™, is the result of: (i) in-house scientific research supported by European Commission RTD contracts; and (ii) the outcome of a series of contracts with numerous clients including navigator producers. ![]() Cities—1:5.000-1:1.000

The product GeoCharta™ is commercialised via an exclusive distribution agreement with IGME. Morphology—1:10^6 to 1:25.000 EPSILON & Epsilon Russia/GTSP has assumed a substantial effort and investment in the last 15 years (1992-today) for the production of the morphology of Greece in digital format in scales 1:1.000.000, 1:500.000, 1:250.000, 1:50.000 and 1:25.000 for selected areas. In addition, numerous company contracts and technologies (e.g., video mapping, aerial photography, IKONOS, Spot-2.5 and LIDAR) have been utilised toward delivering to the market the seamless database of Greece. Today, numerous national and international clients and systems use DIGITAL GREECE™, and among them the National Environmental Monitoring Network of Greece; the Ministry of The Environment, Land-use and Public Works; the Hellenic Tourism Organisation (EOT); The Hellenic Post (ELTA), Telecoms organisations (e.g., Vodafone, InfOTE, ); Greek Utilities (e.g., EYDAP, DEH), Tele Atlas™ as a primary & source material, numerous navigators as the i-Go™, Mio Walker™ and many others. MRNW/ICNW/STNW By using high resolution satellite imagery, aerial photography, specialised proprietary vehicle technology, video mapping and GPS technology, Digital Greece™ offers 100% of the major road network (MRNW 90.000+ km), 95% of the interconnecting cities network (ICNW 350.000+ km), and the cities street network (STNW) of the entire country including islands and mountainous regions. The production was initiated in 1992, whilst today EPSILON offers the most complete and accurate database available for the country. Statistica™ Statistics of Greece are part of the Digital Greece™ database. Based on cost-sharing development contracts signed with both, the European Commission & the Government of Greece (Ministry of the National Economy) EPSILON has produced STATISTICA™, which has been linked to the NUTS-X geographic system and the Eurostat development sectors. The system is compatible to the classifications of the National Statistical Office of Greece (ESYE) and the International Industrial Coding Systems (NASE). The product is expandable to accommodate data of private sector clients and can be optimally linked to DIGITAL GREECE™ in order to serve multiple clients in business forecasting, sighting of competition, shops, facilities, insurance sales, and other industrial sectors. The database and structure have been employed by the Statistical Offices of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia and Slovakia Republic (CopeStat™). STATISTICA™ offers 2005 Census data, ranging from population, to industrial growth, water & environment. This data can be statistically analysed and depicted on both, the NUTS-X classification of Digital Greece™, and the individual municipal city block disaggregating level, thus, offering a powerful statistical tool for decision making.Supplementary data
